Adventure Trip to Alaska and the Yukon Territory
A High Tech Camping Trip
Day 16  - Adventure Tour Outing Page 2

At the top of the mountain that has the Murphy Dome weather station.

Getting all the puppies to learn how to turn around on the mountain top was a show.   Think of it, you have a bunch of dogs
all laced together and you want them to make a big circle turn either left or right direction and they know left form right,
but to work together and tangle the ropes, well, they are learning is why they go out each day.

Musher break.  Something else they must learn.

Headed back to the kennel, downhill.

We picked up this local dog while out on the trails.   She is part jack russell and part husky.
"Jackie" is 10 years old but stuck with us all the way back to the kennel.

The dogs usually take two runs each day.  This rookie team today only made one trip out.  Either they make two short runs
on one long run.  Today it was time for their long run.   The dogs must learn that when they go out, they have no way of knowing
how long the trip may be.  This teaches them to pace themselves and jut take off full speed thinking it will be a short run.
